The Butterfield Scholarship

The Butterfield Scholarship is awarded by the Saskatoon Horticultural Society to a person that is interested in obtaining their Master Gardener Certification. The objectives of the scholarship are:

To encourage an interest and participation in horticulture
To mentor new directors who will commit to volunteer service in the Saskatoon Horticultural Society (SHS)

The scholarship will be awarded to reimburse the cost of the Saskatchewan Master Gardener Program. This specifically includes reimbursement of the registration fee for the home study course as required by the Saskatchewan Master Garden Program.

A University of Saskatchewan Scholarship will be awarded annually to a full-time or part-time student who is enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture program with a special interest in Horticulture. This award will be issued to the student by the university after selection by a faculty committee that considers the criteria. Application for this Scholarship will be done through the College of Agriculture.
